honestly, I with I had lol I had been eye balling that TrickFlow top end kit for a long time, kinda wish I would have just got it

unless you can do it urself, parts would be about 250 to do the job 100% correct. New timing chain, water pump, gasket kit, head bolts, thermostat, etc.

+1. Also something else...

People that want to upgrade usually upgrade their cylinder heads at the same time they change the head gaskets. You would have to dissassemble only once and you would get some performance out of it.

You take off anything that'd connected to the heads off: upper/lower intake, exhaust manifolds/headers, accesories and the brackets. Remove heads, have them checked for cracks or warpage, maybe resurfaced. Check block for cracks, and straightness. Slap on new head gaskets, torque heads to specs, assembly is the reverse of disassembly. Replace old gaskets along the way, replace water pump, Replace thermostat, replace spark plugs, change oil/filter, fill up with coolant and burp.

Parts list (roughly)
head gasket set: $100-$150
machine work:?
Oil: $20-$40
spark plugs: $15-?
Water pump:$60-?
Head bolts (yes they are necessary): $60-?

Water Pump (if it hasnt been changed recently) New, not reman from parts store
Thermostat (if it hasnt been changed recently) 185/190 degree from parts store
Timing Chain set (stock replacement is ok, but I would go double roller) Double roller, available at parts store, or go Ford Racing from Jegs/Summit
Black Silicone parts store
Head Bolts (I dont remember if stockers are torque to yeild, but I'd just get new ones, ARP is best) Summit/Jegs
Upper and lower radiator hoses parts store
FL-1A Motorcraft oil filter, 5 qts of your choice of oil (I run Motorcraft 10w-30) parts store
2 gallons of green straight antifreeze (not 50/50 pour in 1 gallon of antifreeze, then fill with water pour that in) parts store
Razor blades (to remove old gaskets) parts store
8 Motorcraft or Autolite spark plugs parts store
Plug wire set parts store
Distributor Cap parts store
Rotor Button parts store
Hardend push rods Summit/Jegs
Oil pump drive Summit/Jegs
Harmonic balancer Dealership, not parts store, or Jegs/Summit if you want to pay a butt load for it

who the hell told you to buy $10 spark plugs? i just got a set today and it cost me $12 or so for all 8

I payed like 6-7 bucks for each of those.They have to be working great so far. No complaints at all

ok guys well i got the results back from the shop andthey say that the car is perfectly fine no damage what so ever the onlyt thing that is messed up is the MAF sensor... what do you guys think chim in thanks

my car was a whole new snake when I changed the plugs with NGK's and added MSD cap and rotor...

temporarely im getting a used one from a local junk yard and they cleaned it professionaly ????? i ask my self professionaly with carb choke>? well anyways they say the car is running strong so if its right what they say im dropping in some 3.73s with the cash i have to fix it and nay other mods i cna do nothing internal just to increase the hp or trq

so you are buying a USED MAF but then spending $400+ on gears?

i just place an order in a new bbk maf sensor and a cold air intake was like 200$ and the gears well many people say its the best bang for the buck
