Well my next mod are going to be exterior mods and I already know what I'm doing. I'm getting the mach1 chin and grille delete, then the upper and lower black out panels for the back of my 01.

Now what I need help on is my suspension. I bought some 01 gt wheels to suffice for a while until I can get my car lowered. What I need to know is what set of springs is the best type of springs to get a good right height out of my car without scraping the side exhaust kit I will be putting on soon. Then once you guys tell me what type of springs I need, I need to know what else I need for my lowering project and how to put the springs and whatever else I need on.

I am on a limited college student budget so money is a big issue.

Thanks

I ran the Eibach on my 99 Cobra and it sat nice, not too low to worry about bottom scrub but not in 4x4 mode either. And with that Chin spoiler you dont want to be LOW ......it will rub.

I got a set of Springs shipped to my door for $104, but in all honesty, the car is really low, and rides shitty with my low pro's, and the fact i have the from the factory(13 year old) shocks and struts on the car... I can't friggin think of the name of the compnay my springs are. but American Muscle sells "Sprangz" or used to. it lowers the car enough to look decent, its a decent price, and it's not so low you drag...

You'll need a 15mm to break lose the calipers, a breaker bar, and a regular ratchet(I use all 3/8" drive) I can't remember the size you'll need for the shocks and struts, but i wanna say 21mm. the front sway bar is also a 15mm, you'll need a deep socket for that. a jack and stands, and if you wanna do it the safe way you'll need a spring compressor. or bring your car to norfolk, and i'll have the front and rear done in MAYBE an hour and a half. probably more like an hour. I'll do it for free

How low are you looking to drop your car? Hit me up at [email protected] let me know what you're looking for dropwise, what you want to spend pricewise and i'll see what i can do. Also, what do you have as far as technical knowledge? are you mechanically inclined? if so, and you have basic tools, and a breaker bar this spring swap should be a piece of cake... only thing you might wanna do is go to Autozone or a parts store and rent a spring compressor. I don't use one myself, I have a big ass prybar, and thats how i do it... I've done springs and shocks enough times on my Mustangs and friends Mustangs I can do it with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back.
