the metal piece that is a couple inches from the header bolt is it supposed to be secured to the headers? cause I got this nasty rattle when I get on it and I cant figure it out. And yes I do need gaskets

yeah pretty sure there's supposed to be a nut that holds that flange onto that stud. I don't know if that's gonna be causing a lot of rattling though.

I just got some metal to metal sound and its driving me nuts so ill secure it cause it has a hole like it should be fastened to something thanks

yeah it should be bolted to the stud.

and i dont think you need a gasket, more like a steady hand when pouring oil lol. things dont normaly leak up.

I don't think that's your rattle either. If it was there would be a shiny spot on the bracket and stud where they were rubbing together.
Does metal to metal sound similar to bb's in a soda can?
