I have a '95 5.0 with a Vortech S-trim S/C running 8 p.s.i. I have 30 lb. injectors, FMU, Better fuel pump, Aluminum radiator, air intake, full exhaust and a 70mm throttle body. All on a stock block with stock H/C/I and all without a tune. I am deffinitely getting a tune as the next thing im doing because it'll help me out alot more. But with my setup....Vortech with small supporting mods, I ran a 12.8 in the 1/4 and had a 1.9 60' with street tires. (And I was shifting pretty easy) I say got with the supercharger, get a good tune, 30 lb. injectors and later on get the H/C/I.

well he will have a better H/C/I than stock cause of the Holley intake, cam and gt40s and a tune.. So i told him to hope for around mid 12s so by what you said he should easlily be a 12.5 car..

You can't do all of that for $2000. You have to factor in the price of fasteners, fluids, gaskets, etc.

I would buy the blower, some fuel stuff, and get a tune. That should take care of $2000 really quick.

Blower first, no question. It's easier and cheaper to install, will net more power, and be more drivable. Stock Mustangs can lives for years and tens of thousands of miles with a mild blower setup.

I agree with paul.
he can always swap out the HCI later if he wants more go.

personally i think driving a s/c car is more fun than my H/C/I car.

i think i'd go ahead and pick up the SC if its that cheap. he can always let it sit untill he get the HCI.. then do it all at once. but if it was me... get the SC on for now, play with it, then figure the whole setup when he has the cash for other goodies
