^^^ most people will have problems with optimas in your cars as the new design for the cells cant deal with the high amp rate of charge that our alternators put out.
Optima actually put out a bulletin saying that the red top series battery should not be used in a vehicle with a alternator that puts out more than 110 amps. Optima batteries are supposed to be slow charged b/c of their AGM cell design. Over time, you will kill the battery and it will stop holding a charge. If you have a optima in your car that is older than 2 years, you should be fine. But if you replace it with a newer one (since the modifications) you are in a world of trouble.
With all that being said.... I run a normal battery in my car.
