Normally Chris is the one taking the pictures, but I was detailing the car outside his work while I waited for him to finish briefing the closing manager and clock out, and finally snapped a picture I like.

This was shot with a Canon Powershot A75 (no tripod) with no modifications other than slight aperture adjustments.

I have really wanted to lower it since getting it, but I really want the full MM boxed suspension kit, so I'm just saving up for it rather than buy it in pieces. In New Jersey, I can't really lower it and expect to survive the winter. That and black DD 18" FR500s are the first things to go on next spring.

Hey, I recognize your name. You just ordered a shifter gasket set. It will mail out in the morning and since you're in NJ you might get it by Saturday. That is an awesome Cobra you've got. I love the photo, too. You must have been lying flat on the ground.

Yep, that was me. I have to put in a new throwout bearing when I do the longtubes next week so I ordered the shifter gasket while I am at it. I was lying pretty much on my belly for that one.

mmac, if you search my username there are a few threads where Chris or I posted pictures. Here are a few more that haven't been posted yet.

The first picture is when we were installing HIDs. 9006 6000K on the passenger side, 9006 halogen on the right. The other two dorks in the pictures are two people we work and hang out with, Frank with his red 05 Cobalt SS Stage 2 (13.5 @ 105) and Rich with his 05 WRX STi (AEM intake, Cobb turboback and tuner, 13.2 @ 103). Rich will be helping us with our exhaust and tuner, so we're going to return the favor and help him throw in his front mount and GT30R this week.

Oh, the black in the corner is another of our friend Dave's 88 RX7 vert. He recently bought his true dream, an 88 Turbo II which he's toying with. Earlier in the year, he totaled his beautiful red 95 FD R1 in the rain. :'(

mmac, your PMs are full. my reply:

He bought it for me when I passed my NCLEX (basically, the board exams for nursing). It's a 98 with black leather, obviously 5spd, and some bolt ons. I'm hoping to get her down into the high 11s before this season is out. He helps me do all of the maintainence and modifications (he was a diesel technician at Ford), and he does most of the driving at the track, but it is my car. The fastest I have been in it is 14.5 to his 13.8, I need more seat time - the MGW fixed my missing third problem. :-\

Julia, a couple of comments. First and most important, your Cobra is gorgeous. Great color. Looks mint. And you obviously take good care of it, right up to using that blue mylar (?) film on the lower rear quarter when doing burnouts.

Question. What is that decal on your front fender that says YMR 7840? I'm just curious.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, but I won't be at Englishtown tonight, I'm at work. :'(
That is our Yellow Mustang Registry member number. Much like the Black Mustang Club.

Our number was supposed to be 6114 chronologically, but 7840 has special significance to Chris and I so we requested it.

And by the way, although you do not see it in those pictures, both tracks required a Snell 2005 approved helmet, which I have and wore before I got into the burnout box/start line

lol... i was the one yelling at the kid in the s2000 that mommy will be mad when her car doesnt have tires on it tomorrow... everyone got a kick outta that...lol. but i think he was trying to prove something after he did the major spin out on the auto-x, while honking the horn, and turning the wipers on, and then jamming 2 cones in the exaust, and throwing 10 cones across the track... lmao... good times....
