Hey everyone I picked up a 96 Cobra vert on Saturday. Car will eventually be used as a track car and upgrades will come as money permits. I know all of you are just here for pictures so here:

A restore/salvage title, little curb rash, and a little dirty but she's going to be a great car for her purpose.

almost didn't notice the side exhaust tip hanging out there. I have seen people almost ready to kill for those tips, are you going to get the sideskirts to finish it?

If im being honest i dont even know what side skirts id need. Im not really into fancy body work, roll and pull the fenders to fit bigger tires maybe.
Guess i could research it. They do hang fairly low. I scraped on a speed bump at the car wash, and thats with the 4x4 height suspension.

Im likely going to sell/trade everything i can to fund go fast parts at some point. So the Cobra drivers airbag, door panels, leather interior, mach1 speakers, if it has value and wont make the car faster itll be up for grabs.

I know from experience that side exhaust does not go well with AZ roads. Hell my car at stock height with no side exhaust still rubbed in a few places. The side skirts do make the car a few inches lower and are the lowest part on the car. If your wanting more go fast>looks good then you will want to dump the side exhaust as the traditional design = more hp. But like I said it will be easy to sell those mufflers/tips....

Yeah side skirts or get out.

Cloth top?

You cant just do side skirts it'll look weird. Plus im worried about what'll happen when i install the planned H&R race springs and later the coilovers. As I mentioned im already scrapping, maybe i can get the hangers moved so it tucks up more idk. Ill take a look when im not working so many hours. Ill also have to read through the NASA rules about all that jazz, pretty sure in American Iron theres a 5in minimum ground clearance. However I may just run TT and TA once i get past the HPDE.

Yeah it has a canvas (i believe) top.

Current build list (after some basic maint.) is:
MSD Coil packs & 9mm wires
H&R race springs
Maximum motorsports Caster camber plates
MMR IMRC delete
MMR Coolant mod
SCT tuner
MGW race shifter

You can't tuck the exhaust up any higher. If you plan on running sub frame connectors you will need to look at spintechs stepped design and the pipe rests right on them and the body. Side pipes are more about the form(looks) then the function.

Hey, I feel like I was just talking to for some reason, lol. Don't worry about American Iron in AZ, as it does not exist unless the K&N car is testing. ST2 and ST3, along with TT2 and TT3 are busy classes. TT4 might also be an option.
