Hey everybody, My name is Zed

I’m from northern Michigan and I drive a 2001 Sn95 4.6 liter, 2 valve V8 Mustang GT

My mechanical experience begins when i was 3, helping my dad work on his 1JZ mk4 Supra, well about as mechanical as a 3 year old can be (let’s be honest I held the flashlight and grabbed stuff pops needed) but since then, I’ve been fascinated by engines and vehicles in general, if it has an engine, I’m in.

This is my beauty. A little rust but I’ve never owned a vehicle up here without it, and it’s nothing structural, glad to be here and tell me what you think!

I cringed when I saw Michigan because my mind immediately went to rust problems, but I’m glad to hear it is nothing structural. Keep on top of it and fix it while it’s small, and most importantly, welcome!

what is the color on that car

welcome by the way
So it’s an olive drab etching primer, I beileve rust oleum brand, but unsure.

I want to go back over it again with ‘slightly’ darker green and overcoat it with matte, once I remove the rust on the roof and the rear fenders.

I love the color, don’t get me wrong I just want it to be a little more aggressive looking. Not looking to go full black. Too many black mustangs. I want something that sticks in with the local accents

Trust me? I know. Rust is a cancer that doesn’t stop.

Previous owner powder coated the entire underside of the vehicle thankfully. Unfortunately, that doesn’t apply to the etching primer coat
