I dont get the sense comparing a Brand New sports car against a 14 !!! year old mustang!! Did the ford guys in 1994 compare their cars with 1980 Sport cars??

Yes, they did actually, since it was faster and better in every way. Now that the tables are turned... I don't understand why people can't take a little competition. And call it names like a five year old all you want, it's still competition.

Most people who drive new Mustangs, the V6's and GT's that are the bread and butter of the line, could give a shit about heritage, or brand loyalty. It's a cool looking car that they think is fast and impresses people.

but there are cars that i absolutely hate as well
and they would be
nissan 350z's, dodge srt 4's (skittles) and i hate the hyundai genesis.

Why be worried about this coupe??? If it can beat 2010 gt mustangs so what??? It just means Ford needs to step it up and beat the crap out of the hyundai with the gt mustang. I don't think this is going to be a bad car at all. If hyundai starts producing vehicles that can beat anything BMW, Porsche, or Mercedes can produce, then so be it, and yes that would put hyundai in the same upper class as those companies no matter how crappy their past was. But, I don't think that day has come.... yet...probably won't happen.

Yeah cause everyone has a Termy or GT500, not that you can really compare those two cars to a V6 RWD Coupe.

There are a LOT of cars that I like that I would never buy, so I can't really agree or disagree with your comment about spending 30g on one. The fact is 30g doesn't really buy too many nice cars anymore, especially one with the options you want. Seems like 30g is becoming more the average price for a decent car and the nice well equipped cars are starting at 35g+.

I don't see why you're so hung up on the brand though, do you think the Ford name is that much better? If you think about it our Mustangs are actually built pretty cheaply. I don't know for sure obviously but i wouldn't be surprised at all if the Genesis sedan is built better than anything Ford makes right now, that's just how things are going. What's in a name, anyways? I know a girl that's a total whore and completely full of herself, but that doesn't mean all girls with the same name follow suit...

in my opinion, hyundai is producing better cars then ford. It would be nice to see ford stand behind a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty on their cars, and its nice to see them coming out into the world of muscle as well.

Yes, hyundai is doing particularly well, especially when they came out with the all new sonata... I think thats it, the 4 door V6 that makes 240ish horsepower and gets 33 miles to the gallon. They are the Korean company that everyone claims they looked over all the other manufactures cars, and came up with a unique design of their own, that would beat the competition. It looks like in a few years they will be doing just that.

Even if they rebrand people will still feel somewhat the same because it's still built by the same company. the only reason Lexus, Acura, etc do well is because the parent company already has a solid reputation, i don't think it would really help Hyundai, they're already doing well for themselves without added cost to the company. Take Lincoln for example, what a complete joke. Doesn't really help out Ford in the way of a luxury brand, it's still the same crap. Lexus and Acura do well because they're actually nicer than the standard line of cars that supports them.
