Went to the dealer and test drove the new pony's. If you haven't done this DO IT. I went from 30 to 100 like nothing. This thing really wants to move and I was even driving the auto vert California Special. You will want one as soon as you get out. :headbang:

I always compare it this way, the S197s are a more "refined" new age sports car that is fun to drive and fast, but lacks the "Raw" and mechanical feel that SN95s and foxes have. S197s have a ton of electric things on it and of course, a hydraulic clutch. A heads up 94droptop, my HCI 94 feels quite a bit faster than my brothers 08' GT/CS, but his is more comfortable to live with everyday :p.

Have to, I love rubbing it in his face that I spent $6000 on my engine/drivetrain and he spent $40000 for a new car and mine is faster :p. I actually drove a 2007 V6 vert at work today, fun little car lol.

You do realize the one I test drove is the 5.0 with 400hp right? Not the punk 4.6. I will agree that it did lack the raw power feel that my 94 has. But would love to have it.

6grand? Jeez, why so much? People do HCI swaps on 5.0s all day for a few hundred.

If you spend only a few hundred on a decent HCI swap then either you did it wrong, you have hookups, or well you just are REALLY good on your knees....
