I also have a bunch of car related tutorials over on MustangForums if you ever venture over that way.

http://mustangforums.com/forum/chop-shop/498112-rules-and-tutorials-must-read.html

All the links on that page are worth reading. Even the rules, as they explain the do's and dont's of requesting chops (specifically for MustangForums, but can be applied just about anywhere), and what you as a member requesting a chop should provide to:

1, make it as easy as possible for the people doing the chops (because remember, they are doing you a favor!)

2, so it comes out nice (I'm a stickler for perfection when it comes to Photoshop, so a lot of times I wont even both with a chop if I know the pictures I'm dealing with are sub par. I have a tutorial on MF for taking pictures... they dont have to be perfect or professional, but they should at the very least be in focus, with a reasonable exposure value, and the subject of the picture should be at least of a decent size)... and face it, who doesnt want their chop to look as realistic as possible?

and 3, not just so they look nice, but it eliminates a lot of the headaches that you may ensue trying to do a chop on an out-of-focus or really tiny picture, or a picture where the required view of the car is not at a very ideal angle.

And while I'm on the subject, I dont know if its mentioned in the rules/stickys here, but I want to make this as clear as possible, to PROVIDE YOUR OWN PICTURES!!!! I am more than glad to find pictures for you, but since this is YOUR chop, you should provide the pictures. I have no problem putting out the effort to do a chop or even search for material, if I know youre putting out some effort to do the same...

I've seen too many threads (and have skipped past of most of them) where a person will put up one picture of their car, and ask for about 6 or 7 different chops to be made, whether its wheels, spoilers, bumpers, etc, and then dont provide any pictures of the stuff they want chopped... And let me tell you this little secret. I dont care who put up their request first, the person that provides pictures and resources over someone that doesnt, will always get my attention first!

Something I do want to stress to the moderator group here though, please do not copy mine or ANY of the tutorial/stickys from that site for use here. Other people I know have done that for their sites, and although I dont have that much of a problem with it, they were designed for that site, and the Administration would like to keep it that way, although you are more than welcome to use and reference them as much as you'd like. If you need specific tutorials made for this site, you can always contact me.
