New shifter no speedometer or odometer

Put in a Pro 5.0 shifter and my speedometer & Odometer have quit working the car now will stall when downshifting to a stop. If I don't downshift the car will not stall. Any thoughts on what caused this ? 98 4V 6 Speed.

It's your VSS. Located on the trans. Takes just a few minutes to swap out.

Edit: 6 speed? You're saying there's a t56 in your car?

It was a broken wire under the dash
All good now.
