New subs advice

My friend owns a 95 GT and wants to upgrade the sound system a bit. Well, last month he replaces the stock HU and speakers with the aftermarket ones. And know he is looking for new subs. He searched for a while and narrowed down to Jl 10 inches sub. Want to know your advice before any purchase.

Any suggestions and recommendations are welcome.

Which JL sub is he looking into? w3, w6, w7?

I like the JL's.... They don't require tons of power to sound awesome and airspace requirements keep box size to a minimum. I guess it depends on how much low end he's looking for..... Personally, I'd grab a 10W7 and a slash series 500.1 as they match up pretty well.

heard good things of jl but personally i have no experience with them. Ive gone through many subs both in my stang and truck and so far the subs that get my vote are the kicker cvr and alpine type r. have the type r's

But for the kleaner and more SQ oriented listeners...... The JL's are super sweet...
