New System

Got a sick setup. no speakers in the car all in the trunk. ipod hooks up in the center console
JVC arsenol deck, two 10" external MTX speakers wired to a crappy amp (new amp soon). Sony Xploid amp not wired to anything right now, got an L7 on the way.
i was at the shop for 9 hours and for some reason the deck thinks its on display. when i play it it says DEMO and reads off all its features. its very annoying.

First off welcome to the forums! :wave:

You can go into the decks menu and toggle the Demo mode on or off. Post some pics of your setup as well! If you have audio questions feel free to ask or PM me personally.

^ couple of reasons.
my 10s are a LOT louder and cleaner, and you can get out of the car and have a tailgate or do your thing and have really loud music that you can hear from a block away. with the system in the trunk i can take my speakers in and out as i please, if im cruising or racing. and im sure SOMEONE has found a way around it, but i have the mach 460 system, and you cant wire the aftermarket deck to the factory amp.
if you can wire an aftermarket amp to the factory speakers, someone say something

You can completely bypass the complete 460 garbage.

I put my Mach460 in a box the day after i brought the car home from the dealer... it was junk

You can hook up a new deck to stock amps and stock deck to aftermarket amps..

got my new amp put in like an hour ago. kicker zx700.5 that my sisters bf gave me for $100. dont know a whole lot about it except its f*ckin loud and pretty clean. just need an L7 and im good.

I wouldnt hook up a aftermarket deck to the stock speakers through the amps. It just sounds like crap. Just bypass the amps and run it from the internal deck amplifier.

yea.. an L7 will give you a nice kick in the pants.. i have a 12'' in my taurus and right now its only getting about 250 watts(830w 5-chan) and it shakes my car and you can hear me coming(when im kinda close, depends on the area). Im currently awaiting some parts to put the car back together(mechanically). Then a monoblock amp is going in and ill be running 800watts rms @4-ohm on a normal basis. Course by then my alternator will be putting out 220amps, ill have alot more 0 guage in the car, and a seperate battery(HUGE!) in my trunk as well.. here i come DB drag.

Yea.. kicker makes some of the best for sound quality. But god do they hit friggin hard! theyr cheap to pick up man.. get one!!!

Which Monoblock amp you picking up?

Soundstream TRX-1500D.. ill be able to run 1500w@1ohm.. and thats what the l7 maxs out at. so the amp in itself is perfect. Plus my other amp is soundstream, so their kinda my amp of choise. Plus ive gotten in with my audio installer and im getting it for his cost.
