I have 0 track experience, but on my back road, I practice launching and with my car and its street tires, I'm usually better off only holding it at about 1500 so it doesnt spin too much. but I dunno what it's like on the strip, never been

I read in one of the other threads in here to hold the rpms around 3000-3500. Slip the clutch out, don't dump it b/c then you'll just spin. But while you slip it out, add throttle or let off as you need to control wheelspin. I tried it a few times and seemed to work good for me :dontknow: but that was at the lights on the highway not a track either. also shift about 1000rpms above the top of your peak hp rpms, so when you shift it puts you back into your powerband. Not sure how long the clutch could go like that with dd also, but i was starting to get the hang to where i could get off the clutch pretty quickly with minimal wheelspin, but no bogigng either.

depends on what your using for tires. If your on street tires you cant launch at to high of an RPM b/c it will just spin. If your on DR's or Slicks you can launch at a higher RPM. Unless your using a really sticky tire you cant just dump the clutch, more then likely you will have to let the clutch out until you feel it start to get traction and let it out all the way once its gripping. Its hard to explain you have to experience it yourself and practice at it to get better.

lol i think my bicycle woulda beaten it, that was a pretty funny race though, i was in the middle of my cat back install so i only had one muffler on, then i had to drive to work, so some accord tried to race me so when the light turned green i droped the clutch and sat their spinning while he drove off then i finally got traction and then when it was time to shift to 2nd the guy was already in my rear view mirror lol so i just went into 5th and drove the rest of the way to work in front of him lol
