I'm looking at putting the on3performance kit on my 94 Cobra and wanted to get some opinions/advice on it. The Cobra is stock with bassani headers, which will be coming off when I get the turbo. Can I run the on3 kit without a stand-alone computer system, as in injectors and meter and if needed chip? Will 6-8 psi give me noticeable more power while being safe and having manners for the street? The car is used for daily driving and I don't have any plans to race it at this time, I just want more power than a new stock v6. I would like to get around 375hp or more but not risk blowing up the motor in the first week.

6-8 psi reguardless for safety reason you'd want to upgrade to 42lb injectors.. and you will need a tune.. some guys have tried to pull timing and just do that, but this is very risky.. IMHO and I think a few of the guys around here including myself have become knowledgeable on this stuff, with any type of poweradder, not getting a tune is risky. You will need to upgrade your stock injectors but at 375 hp you are looking at 35lb fph (fuel per hour) per injector. So you could run 39lb injectors which with a turbo should be good for around 390hp at 80% duty cycle..

but all in all, don't be cheap just because the kits from on3 don't cost that much, get the tuner and injectors and your motor will live a long time =D

like iceman said, the chip is fine. A handheld tuner or a chip wont matter but either way, you will need a tune (a box tune might be ok but imo i'd get a custom tune) and injectors.

IMO (again this is what i'm saying and I hit 600+ hp on a 2v motor)
If you are going turbo you will want to atleast upgrade
Fuel pump - 255lph pump
Injectors - i'd say 42lb injectors

if nothing else, those 2 things need to be changed out. Stock injectors and pump will stop you from getting too high in the hp range. I'm pretty sure On3 offers the 42lb injectors for an extra cost in the kit, along with a calibrated MAF and SVT 255lph pump. If you shop around you can get the pump and injectors cheaper, but you should look into doing this right, do your research and don't cut any corners, that will only result in more money coming out of your pocket in the end

I have no experience with the On3, but can verify what has been said so far. It's important to have enough fuel and be able to adjust timing with boost...yes you will love the power and turbos are very street friendly! Get a SCT tuner and have a professional dyno and tune it. Money well spent.

You should get a mass air sensor made for boost and callibrated for your injectors. BBK has a 255 fuel pump that drops into your tank to replace the stock pump. You will need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, but the stock fuel lines and rails are fine. I'm running 42 injectors and 10 lbs of boost = 402 rwhp @ 6,000 rpm.

you wont need a fpr if you are getting a custom tune which i recommend.. the on3 kits offer a maf that is calibrated to your injector size.
