Today I was finally able to go to the track today w/ the Cobra running 100%. I have made some previous trips but was chasing issues all summer long but today made up for all of it as I got a new best 1/4 time and 60' time

I wanted to do more runs ( I had 3 good ones) but the engine torqued so much on the next launch that it broke the ATI sensor in half, must have hit the strut tower ( I have a C&L inlet tube) and it threw a check engine light after that so that was the end of my day b/c the car was not running the same after that. Here are the results.

1/8.... 8.047 (almost got my 7's in the 1/8th)

MPH... 87.42

1000... 10.583

1/4...... 12.715

MPH.......106.74


I was happy, the car has 12.5's in it. It was 76 degrees today with 78% humidity. This fall in the cool air I should be able to get some sub 12.5s

Nice, I need to find some tires.....

I might run my car just for the hell of it to see what kind of trap speed it pulls.

Ill be happy as hell if I come close to 120

Tires make all the difference. The MT Drag slicks were hooking from a 6K dump

It was also more of a testing out thing for the car for me, to see if everything would hold together and it did so now I have no problems dumping the clutch off the line at a high RPM. There is still some 60' time left in it and I need to try shifting it higher next time to see if it effects my MPH at the end. I shift at 6K but my tach is 200 RPM off

2k off.man get a tach.tires do make a big difference.my street tires run 2.000 and 1.9 one time lol.I am looking into putting wide and skinny set up with some 28x10.5 or 11'' wide m/t.I run out of gear way to quick.I think the guy who had car before i got it years ago put a road race 5-speed or something.my 89 had 4-10 gears with 5-speed and i dont remember crossing at 6900 or 7000.I was able to run 125mhp when i did run it out but i dont like doint that untill i upgrade fuel system .
