next step for aode?

before i put on my turbo i want to beef up the tranny and the rearend i have a gear but i dont know what to do next with the tranny. i want something better than just a shift kit but i dont know what kind of valvebody i need to get or what to make it shift harder

Yup, I just did a j-mod on mine at the 450+ hp settings, and built the transmission..hardened shaft, new clutches, etc. the whole shebang..

Basically, the "j mod" stand's for "jerry's mod". He is one of the origional designers. Since auto manufacturers calibrate tranny shifts for smoothness he has provided a list of things than can be done to beef it up.

I rebuilt my AODE at 125K. First tranny I have ever done in my life. I now have almost 200K on it and not one single problem.

You will need a few special tools, but above all else...cleanliness is next to godliness. Seriously, it has to be immaculate or you WILL have issues.
