So guys Im thinking about getting a 75 dry shot, of nitrous...would it be safe? And how much faster would I be in the quarter mile?

My car is bone stock, except it has flows...

Thanks!

I think its better to get a wet kit. I'm pretty sure a dry shot is for a more highly modified fuel system but I may be wrong.

zex makes some pretty safe dry kits. I would check some of those out if you are hell bound on a dry kit if not look into wet kits...

If you want dry the best kit would be a Zex Dry Nitrous kit (had one and loved it), but i wouldnt recommend going over a 50hp shot dry (Thats Just Me). If it was my car i would get a Zex Wet Kit or a NX Wet Kit, it will be safer as long as you spray about 3200 rpms and you will like it better. I love my Zex Wet Kit, it is awesome. I had the zex dry and it is good for any begginer on spray but as soon as you try it once you want more lol

You dont want to spray near the rev limiter. I cut mine out at 5500. You will need a wot switch and window switch is recommened. Nitrous takes money to set up correctly.

Please explain to me why a wet kit is "safer" than a dry kit. Also please explain the highly modified fuel system requirement.

I ran a 13.28 at 106 and had a 1.90 60' with a wet 125 shot and some mid bolt ons. So you should run somewhere around high 13's depending on your 60'. And go with a wet kit, it's much safer :thumb:

on a small shot its not, but u shouldnt attempt a 150 shot with a dry kit if your running stock fuel components (u know this, dont act sarcastic :p) i think a dry kit is just as good as a wet kit on cars like ours, but its jut me...

I know... i was being rhetorical because it was stated that a 75 dry shot is not safe. ANY nitrous kit above a 100 shot should have an upgraded fuel system.

I was just saying that because from what I hear spray gets addictive and I was forseeing him wanting more than just a 75 shot in the future. I'm not an idiot and I don't just post stuff just to post them. I have reasons for what I say. Sometimes I am misinformed though but there's no reason to get an attitude.
