The weekend was awesome, with the exception that i now look like a lobster...Urist's car was a beast, ans Murrillo's and Manny's cars were bad as hell too. Can't wait for next year. And Danielle, your car looked great at the UPR booth. Didn't really like the diamond plate floormats though, and your friend's car (white/pink GT) at the Nitto booth looked awsome as hell. I think i'm gonna steal that vinyl on the wheels thing and put my myspace on mine.. :hammer:

thanks! all the billet stuff inside the car was just for the show...my opinion, I don't like all that stuff inside the car, lol. The only billet stuff thats mine on the interrior is the shifter bezel, a/c knobs, and window switches.

and yea, Christy's car is awesome...definitely a girl's car :p

^^ Surprised to see Urist in a foxbody....nice lookin car tho!

Yeah, I think it surprised a lot of people. He went to the fox body because of it's size, and rigidity. Those cars have a very small amount of frontal area, so they push a little smaller hole in the air. Plus, Big Red was just getting a little old. It's got 8 years of nothing but hard passes on it, and with all of the cutting, and updating, and everything, the car had become heavy and outdated, so John felt that a new car was in order. Not to mention fox bodies are cheaper and easier to come by then another new-edge, or an '05 up car (which I feel don't really make good race cars anyway.) But yeah, that's why the switch. Plus there's a lot of safety stuff and power and speed innovation in this car.

Haha, it went a lot faster than I thought it would! it went 7.573 twice, once at 190 and once at 194 mph. The last 7.573 @ 194 was in the finals to win the race. All of this is simply mind-boggling to me, as the farthest distance the car had ever traveled prior to Bradenton was from the shop to the trailer. All things considered it was a hell of a weekend.

He still runs an F3-R ProCharger, but if you look in the 3rd pic, you can see a lot of very cool stuff going on. We custom built a mount that mounts the blower really low, and really close to the crank. This allows us to run a smaller belt, which weighs less, and not run an idler pulley, making it easier to turn. It also gets the weight a lot lower in the car, helping out the center of gravity a bunch. You can also see the V-bands on the exhaust, which means the headers can be off in less than 5 minutes.

There's a LOT of trick stuff on this car. Here's a shot of the interior:
