Sn-95 noobie here...I currently have a 90 lx hatch so Im not a noobie to mustangs, but I am now looking at a White 95 GT...Its in pretty good shape for the year and the mileage, it has 176,000 on it, it seems mechanically sound, and the T5 shifts good, and I have a 60,000 mile 5.0 sitting in the shed that will most likely go in it if I do buy it so that Im more comfortable spraying it. I can get this car for about 2500 I think. Its in pretty good shape, it has dents and dings and scratches of course but nothing major. The interior is in really good shape and has an aftermarket stereo in it. Sorry for rambling but I just wanted to see what you all think. Do you think its a good deal?

Try and post some pics of it, will help us a lot. I just bought my sn95 2 days ago and I got a steal. The guy was really nice (60 years old) Loved the car but had to part with it... U can check my sig for mods.. Only 50,000 original miles on it. I got it for 6,850.00. The cleanest 5.0 ever. Just check out the car real well . listen to it run and rev it up. Make sure there are no leaks or unwanted noises. Check the title out too. BUt anyways I love the car. Only badsare that sn95's are a little heavier. But then again it looks newer and has 5 lug. Easier to fit bigger tires too.

I think for $2k or so it shouldn't be that bad. How does the engine run? Blows blue smoke at all? Any noises from the top of the engine, etc..? I def. wouldn't spray it with that mileage but I think if the body and interior is in good shape and you have the time know-how and cheese to spend you can tear into it and make it a beast for around another 3k or so.

I would post some pictures but I don't have a digital camera unfortunately. I will see if I can borrow one though and post some pics. My hatch is actually converted to 5 lug and has draglites on it which will end up on the GT if I do buy it. The only reason I'm looking at buying another car is that the hatch was a 4 cylinder car converted to a carbed 302. I would much rather have EFI and the hatch has all kinds of wiring problems and is pretty much just a pain. Anyways, the 95 doesn't smoke at all and is actually my parents car so I have driven it many times and it runs pretty strong. There is no engine noise at all, the throwout bearing does however squeak but what do you expect with that many miles...the T5 is in surprisingly good shape, shifts really well and never grinds no matter how high you rev it or how hard you shift it. Overall the car is in surprisingly good shape and I think its a good deal. Just wanted to get some more opinions on it. And smokedurvtek, congratulations on the buy, sounds like a really good deal.
Thanks for the replies guys!
