Hey all, been checking out this forum for quite awhile, never posted an intro thread though

Picture from old owner before being stolen (didn't come with the 2000r wheels, had 5 spoke stockers)

Car has a bit of history, originally from the east coast, driven a ton its first few years, then got to California. Owner here upgraded and babied it until it was stolen and recovered when he took out all the performance parts for his 67 (I believe). Ended up in pieces at my fathers work with the engine next to it where my dad stepped in and put it all back together. My brother spent just over a year with it driving the hell out of it and it developed an oil pressure issue which couldn't be solved. I took over and had the engine replaced with another 95 5.0 stock engine from a junkyard.

Final tally before me

156,XXX miles on rolling chassis

swapped in a 70,XXX mile donor 5.0

Now it is my car. I've driven it for several years, it has served me well. Always started (except when roommate left radio on overnight but just jumped it), never stranded me on the side of the road, been a great car. I plan on keeping it my entire life, its the only constant through many different jobs, women, and friends.

After the engine swap in July of 2009 I put 17x9 and 17x10.5 2003 Machined Cobras on it with 315's out back

Sitting pretty at 172,XXX miles. I live close to work so it is not daily driven. Had an emissions issue late last year so I put a full exhaust on it

Came out exactly how I wanted it, great sound, not too loud, emissions legal including visual inspection (no headaches)

Put new headlights on last weekend (LRS diamond)

Ooo.. I like those headlights, I might have to pick some up. Also interested in how hard it is to replace the oil pan gasket as mine also needs it. Oh, and welcome! Very clean car.

To replace the oil pan gasket, you basically have to pull the motor. No joke. Atleast on a 94 you do.... And nice intro

I will definitely not be doing the oil pan gasket myself, no garage, and no equipment, plus I hear its a a pain in the ass

I fixed my oil pan gasket by pulling the engine. It was time consuming, installed longtubes and a off road midpipe during the process. But I had a 30x80 shed to work on it in, cherry picker, access to tools...etc.....

Car looks pretty darn good! Car looked badass with the y2ks on them, but good luck with the build!

Yeah I wish I had it then, only like 5-6 year old paint. Definitely the best it has looked. I tried to find y2k's when I was looking for wheels but couldn't find anything over a 9" wide rim
