Oil Additives

Alien Kush has 160k, and I want to keep it alive and well as long as possible. My mechanic, who i trust with everything, swears it will live to see 250k if I use Lucas additives. Anyone used Lucas, Z-Max, or any other additives and noticed a difference?

While we're on the subject, I know oil plays a huge factor in longevity. What oil should I use? I know Royal Purple holds the crown as the best, but they also pay a LOT of money for us to believe that. I don't have a problem shelling out the extra cash, but I want to know their product can stand behind their claims.

I just changed the oil on my truck, and I highly suggest using Lucas. My truck took 5 quarts, so 4 quarts of oil and 1 quart of Lucas, and I just trust it more. At my local car quest they have 2 boxes, both have gears, and one has Lucas the other doesn't. You turn the handle and see the effects of Lucas, it's pretty cool. I'd suggest Lucas all the way. Also, my truck recommends 10W-30, but I use 15W-40 because it's an older engine (251k, lol).

Yeah, I think I'll go a little light and give it 5 qts of 10w30 and 1qt of Lucas. Its hot as bawls anyway lol
