I bought a used Vortech S trim for my 95 GT, it came with the oil hose for the charger but no oil fittings for the oil sending unit and the oil pan fitting. Besides Vortech, are there any other places I can buy these fittings? Can these be bought at a hardware store?

they aren't anything special. you can get brass fittings to make it work at any hardware store if you know the sizes. otherwise, you might want to check out superchargersonline.com

if you have it out of the car then sure why not. if its in the car i wouldn't take the risk of frying your electrical system.

Both of my mustangs are supercharged and the fittings are not welded in, super easy to punch a hole and tap it (and i did it with the motor in the car). it is a 3/8 NPT tap that you need to tap the hole. actually works out to a half inch hole in the pan. i went to Napa and turns out that it is the same size and thread as a pneumatic tool fitting. i picked one up for a couple bucks with a barbed end on it, worked perfectly. if you search in google for "vortech supercharger 94 95 pdf" the first thing that comes up is the installation instructions which you can download. it will have a parts list with all the info for you so you might be able to make up your own sending unit fittings too. hope that helps ya. good luck with the install!

I went to the hardware store and found the fitting but it says "MPT" will that work? Does it have to be "NPT"?

yes it should work. NPT is "national pipe thread" and i think MPT is "male (national) pipe thread".. maybe verify with someone at the store though first. may sure it is a 1/2 inch fitting, not 3/8. Even though it is a 3/8 tap, outside diameter of the tap is 1/2 inch.

Does the fitting get bolted on the driver or pass side of the oil pan? Do you have any pics of yours?

If you have the pan off get it welded. If you dont you run the risk of it leaking and causing a mess. Been there done that.

I went to several hardware stores and they have the fitting but it does not say NPT. I bought this at Menards and says MIP, and USA made.

To make the hole in the oil pan, can I drill a 3/8 hole? Or do I have to use a punch?

I measured and made the mark for plug. Which mark should I go with? The left or the right?

That is what I measured from the top of pan by the bolt hole going down 1 1/4. Can you take a pic of yours?
