Oil issue...

Hi guys i'm having a little issue with some oil in my intake manifold. i just pulled it off the other day (upper) only and i noticed there was a lot of oil in there.....now my pcv valve is hooked up behind the throttle body in my systemax intake and my valve covers are hooked up before the throttle body...there seems to be proper crank case ventilation going on but maybe the little shield under the intake manifold is not good enough....what can i do? maybe a longer hose? filter or something to retain the oil?

this is pretty common when you run your car hard. You can make a little catch can that will catch the oil mist. its a little filter that goes between the pcv and the intake.

ok i'll try that and see what happens.....it's just that my friend told me that it wa smoking a little under hard acceleration....and there is a fair amount inside the intake. sooo i'll try that thanks for your response.

Mine does the samething i took the upper off clean the crap out of it and hooked up a oil seperator very easy and problem fixxed!!!
