Changed my oil Sunday with 6 qts of Royal purple 5w-20 and a k&n filter..local store was having a sale.

Noticed today my op jumping around on my AM gauge..at idle itd be right at 25 and cruising at 50ish mph and. 1500 rpm itd be at 50 or so and would rise from 25-50 on easy accel.

is that alright? Or should i go back with 5w30 and a diff oil filter and see if it.changes?

I believe the reason why it changed because there is less rotational drag with the lighter weight oil. Put in 10w30 your oil pressure will sky-rocket but that doesn't mean its a good thing, its just harder to push around in the engine. Less work the engine does, the more happy it gets under the gas pedal.

the idle psi will be 20/25 when its primed properly(no air in the tubing). accelerating will differ almost up to 60-95 on how hard you blip the throttle. cruising stoich it should be 60psi.
