To take the "magic" out of it, it's the same thing as a moisture filter for a compressor to keep condensation out of your air line.

i did the same thing, but i went with the husky brand from home depot instead of the kobalt from lowes.

the husky separator is less bulky than the kobalt, and its black instead of blue. i'll post a pic later

My buddy just put one on his '03 Cobra!! Something like he could buy one for like $65, or buy the parts @ Home Depot for $25. It works like a charm!! I never even heard of before this!

I did good to remember that much of the story!! He fed me with a lot of car info today! We went to go add a boost-a-pump. It turned into a full day thing!

any pictures of your setups installed?

I run both the PCV catch can from accmachine and a Moroso vapor can as well from two -12AN lines coming off the valve covers. You can sort see it in the third picture.

i sold junior my extra one.

Does he know what to do with it? LOL... So got any big plans for FFW? any big mods that you're trying to squeeze in? we're thrashing on our buddies coupe that sports the 306. Shannon and i spent last thursday evening over there, and i'll prolly be over there again this thursday, but it'll probably be an all day-er, as we have a command picnic, so i'm dipping and heading over to Hampton to work on the car...
last week we painted the roll cage and stripped the interior to bare metal, also got rid of some useless wires that were just hanging around... this week we're going to paint the interior panels, put the new carpet back in, and the seats, and then start on the prepping from the rear forward for his new paint... thrashing begins prior to FFW   ...

i hope he does. its fail safe. it says in and out on it. brian i know youll see this. put the out hose towards the plenum and in from pcv filter, lol./....... my only mods is getting the dang suspension done. xcal unlocked and tuned. if i do the head swap i gotta drive up to baltimore. to pick it up from storage. im writing the leave chit this week. so not really any big mods except planting the wheels. which im hooking on the street nicely. i may be able to squeeze the 3.73s maybe. sorry for jacking the thread a minute. back to thread topic. the oil seperator has been doing its job. dont notice anything except visually oil. ive done a 100 or so miles with it and noticing an oil collection. im happy... cheap modding at its finest.
