ok guys i need help i think

i was showing my car (1994 GT) to a friend and i was under the hood and reved it up and as soon as i did a loud Pop noise happened and i have no idea what it was ....it sounded like it came from under the hood and possible from the CAI do you guys have any idea what could have happened....whats the possibility that i blow a header gasket????thanks

well, this thread isn't helping me much to understand what is going on. Does the car still run fine? Does it now make the sound every-time you rev it? What kind of Pop did it sound like, from the exhaust backfiring? Its kinda hard to diagnose without being there...

well i started the car (cold start) and it was idling fine... theni went under the hood and revved the engine and a it popped somewhere under the hood
im thinking it popped through the CAI ... i have a 75 mm bbk on the stock intake .............................i drove the car up and down the road and nothing seemed to be wrong and the car run fine...... so my guess is that me being an idiot reved up a cold motor and it didnt like it

just back fired through the intake. when you first start the car it runs rich to warm the car up for about 5 minutes, then the computer takes over and the 02's kick in and start regulating the fuel. Let that bish warm up for a few next time bro.
