I believe you can use a fox body t-5 if you change the input shaft, maybe more to it but I cant remember.

what uear fox and how hard is it to change the input shaft?

I think it was 89-93? It has to be a borgwarner version and not a world class version i think.

You can put a v6 tranny in there but I dont know how long it will last

correct but something tells me that a 93 Foxbody is a worldclass also but don't hold me to that. And a v6 tranny would work.

there is no difference to the input/ output shaft from a world class to a non world class t5. the newer the stronger is it. I have blown up about 5 t5's in my 95 mustang. right now I am running a non world class 1986 t5 that is actually holding up!! I got 2k out of it so far. I am using a bellhousing from a 87-93 mustang, and I cut into the tranny bracket to fit it for the same reason harder to find a 94-95's, but I think that is correct about the only thing being different is the input shaft. the easiest way to tell if it is world class or non world class is the oil that comes out of it. auto transmission fluid, world class, gear oil, non world class. tremek bought borg warner now so if you find a newer t5 it will say tremec on it, but not that much different in strength if different at all.

I wasn't saying it was a different input shaft between world class and borg warner, I was saying From what I hear its a different input shaft from fox to sn95.

OK so i went to a local transmission shop they had quoted me at about 450 and then my parents went the next day and they said it would be at least 1000 and 1800 max I'm just really want to drive my car should i just find a cheap v6 tansmission and use that or spend the extra cash and have a rebuilt one?
