Opinion on cold air intake please.

Back then im planing selling the stang, and I keep everything stock, but now I feel im loving it and cant let it go, Im planing doing some mod to it, already got flow weld in with 4 cat cut off ( will getting O/R H pipe next ), im thinking getting cold air intake, what you guy think ? is that make the car breath better ? I saw a kit from american muscle for $89 that came with filter ( what kind of filter is that ? ) how do you clean it ? kinda stupid question but, cold air intake make my exhault sound better ?( since air come more air coming in ), how is the gas miles ? thanks

u'd be better off just getting a filter for an otherwise stock motor. and no it won't change ur exhaust sound.

save your money for gears/ pi parts/ or a power adder

I wasted my money on it and now i'm annoyed by the high pitch squeak that sounds like a blow off valve every time i let off the throttle.

well if you really want the best HP out of one i'd go with the JLT cold air intake. I'm gettin that one when i do get mine

I'm taking mine off, if that helps. I'll put the $$$ toward cams. Like Warhorse said, strictly a visual mod.

Supposedly they offer some benefit with a full-PI car but 96-98 put the money elsewhere.
