I fully agree with Justin on that.
My 'factory' supercharged car is pushing over 200,000 miles without any issues related to the blower or engine. OEM set ups under go FAR more R&D and in general are much better products than most aftermarket type 'kits' (turbo or supercharged).
Exactly, 10000x more R&D goes into turbocharging a OEM vehicle.

We're all familiar with turbo lag, roots' top end give, etc. etc. etc.
what heads are you planning on running?
Keep in mind that depending on the turbo size you may not have very good top end either.
My 67mm with ported heads and an edelbrock manifold still was nosing over by 5500 rpms and on the way down by 6k rpms, my vortech setup was still increasing in power at 6500 rpms with just an eddy manifold.
The smaller turbos just run out of steam up top...OP said he had a 67mm. My point is that the same motor would pull to a higher RPM/longer with a blower especially if you go with blower cams or anything else.
Problem there is if you go to a 76mm turbo you will have lag city. I was so spoiled with the instant power from the vortech and my loose stall that those little tenths of a seconds waiting for boost annoyed the hell out of me.
Basically my final thought is yes, turbo setups can be fun,awesome, make great power BUT if you expect to have stock reliability like you can have with a blower you're gonna be in for a rude awakening. lol
