I now have the long awaited Optimum Opti Coat 2.0 in stock and ready to ship. This is the new consumer version that has just recently been released.

Optimum Opti Coat 2.0 is a permanent protective clear resin coating that can be applied to paint, headlights, wheels, plastic trim, aluminum, and chrome surfaces. Adding Opti Coat is like an additional layer of clearcoat to your paint. Opti Coat gives that just waxed look and road grime, bugs, tar, etc. come off so much easier. One 20cc. syringe is enough to do at least 3-4 vehicles.

By the way, just wanted to mention that Opti Coat is a permanent coating and any imperfections like scratches, swirls, contaminants will be locked in, so you have to properly prep the surface before applying Opti Coat.

I always remove any embedded contaminants by claying first. Then remove scratches and swirls by buffing, lastly wipe the surface down with IPA to clean the finish completely so that the coating will get the best possible bond.

is this something that would be applied to the entire car or is it best used on areas that are prone to problems, like painted bumpers, roofs, leading edges of the hood, etc?
I'm interested in it because my friend's looking for something to slow the chipping on the front of her new lexus.

I would recommend applying the Opti Coat to the whole car.

Wondering if this would go on thick enough to be able to blend with an already peeling clear coat? I have a few trouble spots that need to be touched up. Weather is harsh up here..
