i heard that on the 98 gt you don't have to replace the nipple that is behind the water pump when you do a pi intake swap??? is ture?? :dunno: :dunno:

i did mine with the intake. 3ft of 5/8s heater hose and 2 clamps. along with some rtv

yes and no. early model 98 cars (built at the begining of the 98 model year...usually july/august of 97) do require you to swap it out, the later ones do not. easiest way to tell:

look at the strut towers. do you have the holes pre-drilled for the factory strut tower brace? if you do, you need to get the PI nipple if you plan on using the PI coolant return tube. if you DONT have the holes for the strut tower brace, then you already have the PI nipple and all you need to do is get the PI coolant return tube.

or, you can do as Willis_98GT said just use heater hose and 2 clamps to make your own return tube.
