I have an intermittent P1516 - intake manifold runner control input error (bank 1). Usually comes on during some hard driving keeping it above 4000rpm. I have been seafoaming the car every 10,000 or so, car doesn't seem to lack power anywhere.

Anyone familiar with this code? PC/ED and FSM, OASIS, no TSBs or SSMs. No pinpoint tests.

SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR I HAD THAT PROBLEM...MINES MIGHT BE A BIT DIFFERENT. THE PREVIOUS OWNER INSTALLED THE RUNNER DELETE BUT NEVER TUNED THE CODES OUT.

i get the code too after hard driving every few months..

my car runs hella rich and the MIL's like to trigger codes every now and then i believe. i haven't gotten the problem diagnosed though because it goes off within the same day.

Haha, have fun, jk jk, i took the top end off the motor, cleaned everything out real nice, so it looked nearly brand new, reassembled it and must have freed up like 20hp. The seafoam only hits about 40% of our motors, the only way to get the runners freed up and uncarboned is disassembly. Its a real easy job, took me 1 day to disassemble and 1 to re and a few beers, I also replaced injector O-rings while I was in there for good measure. After that its been rock solid.
