Painted my Calipers and Rotors

Had some free time yesterday so I decided to paint my Calipers and Rotors.. Also did the gas tank cover.. Let me know what you guys think.

dammn that came out good. what paint did you use?I need to do that with my,my rusted to and there only 2 years old

I used duplicolor gloss black caliper paint.. Thats it lol.. Sanded them, Scotch brite padded them, and just used brake clean..

Very nice! I just did the same thing only i havent done the rotors yet. Also i dont know if you experimented but i used a brush on kind of paint and the paint didn't stick the the cobra letters so you could just carefully wipe off the excess. That way the embossed part get painted. Regardless i like the way yours turned out, very sweet!!

Thanks! I actually taped off the cobra letters and used a q-tip with white paint to do the letters.. LOL

I like the gas tank, I might have to copy you. :tongue3: Looks very clean.

I'm wondering how long the paint will last on the rotors.

looks good. small details like this can make a world of difference on a car. If anyone else does this I would suggest taking off the rotor. There's only two bolts holding on the caliper anyways, then you can just slide off the rotor to work on it.

I painted my rotor hats black as well, but if I do it again, I think I will go with silver.

i went silver on mine but they do tend to get dirty due to the brake dust. have to repaint them every 6 months or so to keep them nice
