I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes. I was thinking of having my grille pony emblem painted. The housing is metal, but the pony itself is chrome covered plastic is it not? I want to paint it gloss black, would any paint shop be able to paint something like this? Would powder coating be possible on something like this? If I painted it myself, would i need to strip the chrome first? Thanks...
these are cool. not worth the $, but if u can find someone with some airbrush skills then id do it. http://www.autobadges.com/airbrushedgrilleponies/
It's plastic with a chrome-like-color. Powdercoating only works on metal. Take some fine sandpaper (1000) and strip the chome off. Then use some primer, then the base color and then some clearcoat. The more layers of clearcoat the less paint chips from rocks etc. afterwards.

is there any way to do a flat black color? I like the looks of the pony but I want it to be subdued... Becaue I like the lookds of it not being there
