Time to Paint the Pony

I spent the last two years restoring my original purchase of my 1994 GT convertible. 309,000 miles, 30 years and still chugging along, ha! Engine rebuilt, leather interior all redone, new stereo/navigation system installed, air conditioning, steering and brake system completed. One last thing I would like to do before its inaugural road trip to Las Vegas... get the darn thing painted.

We'll keep to the original laser red and would like to get near showroom quality. True showroom quality I believe would be out of my budget. Thinking between $2500-4500. So my questions are:

1. What should my questions be in seeking a paint shop? Especially when talking warranties?
2. I have heard about orange peel, bubbles, drips... anything else?
2. What should I look out for... any warning signs when looking around for a shop? Stay to the big franchised places or seek out a small shop?
4. Anybody out there can recommend a place in San Diego County, CA?

E9 (Laser Red) is a 3 stage paint and can get expensive quick. I've seen a 2 stage version and it's just not nearly as deep looking.
