I picked up an extra set of bezels, I wanted to paint them black, thinking it would look good on my white/black car, and seeing as how some Saleens had them this way, it wasnt anything too weird to do. Anyway, I stripped, sanded, primered, and painted the extra bezels, but I used low gloss black, wanting to give it a flat look. Well now they're too flat, and they look more like they're primed black, not painted.

Who's painted there bezels, and what paint did you use? I'm thinking of sanding them back down, and using regular gloss black, or I think Duplicolor sells OEM color paint in a can now, and just getting whatever is "black" and doing them with that. I could have them professionally painted, but I'm not 100% on keeping them on the car, and I dont want to spend the money to get them painted if I decide I dont like them.

Any suggestions?

My first thought was satin, I should have, but I didnt. Guess I'll be getting more paint tomorrow. I already took them back off the car today.

Here it was Sat. At least it gives me the idea.

The right color is more what i'm looking for. I wasnt sure if they were flat, satin, or full gloss like paint/clear.

Satin it is.

What area on the rear bumper?

What MustangMoser posted. They look good painted with other black accents on a white car. If you're going to paint the rear lights, it'd really tie it together with it and the Mustang GT bumper overlays.

Diffuser? Thats an odd name for it... anyway. Would be cool, but I'm not sure if I want to sand and rattle-can a perfectly good bumper and paint job.
