Absolutely!!! The car runs cooler on the highway, or steady city driving. And the fan doesn't have to work as hard to get it back down to temp because the heat is just escaping at the top. Its not drastic but its noticeable.

Thanks Gregor! This is the car I should of brought to American Muscle Cruise but I dented the oil pan last year, and went thru the whole 9 yards to get it back to normal shape. Got the new pan powercoated, gaskets, new oil tube, and new poly urethane motormounts. Should of thrown headers on there but im not rich lol.

I want the AFS triple chrome 18 inch cobras lol

I think I found the hood I want. haha I really like how this saleen hood doesnt have the heat vents that came from the gt hood.

Sweet. I've never seen any pics of your ride. It looks great. I agree also, that hood is the best looking one if you dont want something in your face. Nice low profile..

Yeah sure. I'll hit you up with a PM. The hood fits great, PITA to close and open. But once the body shop adjusts it and paints it, i'll be good.

It was a tie for a while between chrome saleens, and chrome 18 inch AFS but then I would be to much of a saleen clone haha.

Yeah, I asked for them to not be made with the hood. You have the option to choose.

Thanks man, I can't wait. Can anyone comfirm if the paint code on my car will be expensive to paint. I'm not to sure but I have my suspicions that it has a tinted clear coat, metallic blue pearl in it.

Everyone loves these wheels. I have a friend who already wants them, I feel torn though because they only made them in 1996 with this finish for one year.

Yes get pins, that's why mine was totaled, 65 on the highway with my son and pregnant wife in the car, I'm just glad we were ok..

No its not paper and to be honest its your hood do what you want, just dont come back crying that you lost your new hood and smashed your cowl and cracked your winshield. Trust me I didnt post that for shits and giggles but, Hell I dont know crap anyway so do what ya want.

Well. Your right, but I really want to know why is it important for hood pins. My good friend had that happen to on his stock hood. I never had that happened to me, when I bring to the body shop they going to adjust the hinge mechanism, and the hood latch. It locks great, just doesn't do on one try like I said before. If we needed hood pins, how come we dont do it for stock application?!? because this happened to a buddy of mine, and im guessing he had hood latch issues. Its a kaenen hood, built really strong feels like oem but being a tad lighter.

Yeah, I will think about it. It's not out the window, I've driven it like that for about 2 months doing 80/65mph, and its been fine.
