Hello fellow members, I recently picked up CS6 and have been playing with it for some days now however I can't seem to figure out how to do a wheel color change! So I pretty much have all the steps down but when it comes time to change the wheel color specifically to black I can do it but the wheel looses its depth and details. According to everybody the way to do wheel color change is to use the hue/saturation option. I simply want to make my wheels black no other color! Someone please help???

Send me an image that hasn't been worked on yet. I will do it. There are all kinda of tutorials on the internet that will show you how to do it. Just type in the search box "changing color in photoshop"

I have been been researching this for the last three days, I have found all kinds of tutorials on how to do a wheel color change for all types of colors but none show you how to change them in black. I have the whole concept down. I can change the wheel color to any color I want and it comes out great but when I want to do black the image looses it's details as you can see above from the picture I posted.

This is one of the cleanest black one's I was able to do, and the only reason was because the lighting is kinda dark so I was able to just adjust the brightness lol.

Use 2 layers and reverse the color on the layer on top and then erase everything but the wheels, the layers that are negitive. You need to play with hues and etc.
Your trying to use white and black too which is going to be most challenging. Black wheels in general lose their texture once captured on film. It's the nature of the combination. Even on real life black wheels texture is lost to the eye. Because Black is what determines texture and gives items their shape. Keep working on it, you'll get it.
