I want to see what my car's ass would look like with the rear blackout kit. The deck lid and the area below the letters on the bumper cover. Like they did on the following picture, except I don't want my tail lamps messed with. I like the ambers too much.

Here's some pics of my car to use. Thanks!

It kinda looks odd. I think it would look better with the tail lamps blacked out too, but with the ambers, I don't want to do that.

I think it's better as-is.

I normally wouldn't care for it...with the black top and black letters I think it ties in pretty well.

Just the trunklid with some black looks good.. The rear lower valence with the black doesn't look good imho.

I came to the conclusion that the rear decklid only really looks good when the tails are darkened out also. Since the 99 and 01 cobras have the ambers in the tails, I don't want to darken them, so I guess I'll just leave it as-is.

I notice something isn't the rear bumper doesn't say cobra. I would just tint the rears. The black out deck lid makes it looks like a mach

Really? they are not Euro tail lights? That is good info to know, in case I see them I will know now what the years might be.

Yep. 99 and 01 had the ambers.

could try tinting just the red part of the tails. that might look cool. never seen it done before.

Maybe Tony could do a photo with the decklid black, the tails tinted, but the ambers and reverse areas left alone. Leave the valance too.

I notice something isn't the rear bumper on a cobra

The rear bumper on the new edges didn't say "COBRA" until the termis came out.

IMO I wouldn't do it. I think the rarity of the '99 Cobra rear end is spoiled by the blackout panel. I always thought the '99 STV badge was nifty along with a standard rear bumper.

Yeah. I'm thinking the same thing. After seeing the photoshops, it's.... meh. I don't want to ruin it.
