Well I ended up getting a OEM intake to replace my crappy dorman one but I picked one up that didn't make the recall to get the aluminum cross over thus having the plastic cross over. Luckily I picked it up for $40 so if I can't use it then no biggie. But i looked at the alt bracket and there's no possible way that either one of the brackets that I have will mount my alternator up right. Has anyone run into this problem and if so what did you do and what are your suggestions?

You need the new style alt bracket or drill/modify yours, I bought a new one. Did you also get the water pump nipple and feed line?

My honest opinion, don't waste your time installing the plastic crossover intake. It'll just crack later meaning you will have to do the job again
