Now I know the pi head swap requires you to drill and tap the pi intake for a new sensor but,my question is where can I get this done or the tools needed to do it?I know the spot where I need to do tap into but I want to know if there is someone out there that I might be able to send it to or if I can do it myself?I saw someone selling the drilled and tapped versions and they were a company but they were like 400$ for a stock pi intake just drilled and tapped for the 96-98 crowd. Please help me out I am getting so close to being done with this project.

i used a drill press and a tap and die set...that's really all you need. when you screw in the sensor, put some thread tape around it for a good seal.

i think most shops can do this for you for about 20-30 bucks just check around and it is an important sensor since it registers how hot your engine runs

btw I just timed my engine and rotated it by hand and I noticed the pssngr side tensioner is easily pushed in by hand like there is no tension.it popped when I pulled the pin out but kinda worries me that timing might jump on me.Anyone here of this problem before???

They do suggest you swap them after 100k miles or so, i'm replacing my chains/guides etc next time i am in there just to prevent any issues that can be avoided while driving a 13yr old car with 100k + on it.

Yes, go to a machine shop. Unbolt the crossover itself (6 bolts) and bring that and a temp sensor with you

Show them the sensor, point to the area in front of the thermo housing and say need it in the center of that flat section
