i dont know the number of that year.. just the total svt number. dont i need to order the certificate to get my actual number for the year?

that Mystic color is beautiful man. I wouldnt mess with it either. Other colors could pull that off but Mystic is ....... well Mystic.

I'm not sure if you can get that now. Its pretty much just a letter on Team SVT stationary that says "In addition to your cars Certificate of Autheticity, SVT is sending you this letter as official documentation that your Cobra Coupe was painted with Mystic Clearcoat Metallic.In 1996, there were 7496 cobras produced and only 2000 of those were painted Mystic. Your Mystic Mustang (serial number) was #208 of 2000 with that option."

I condensed it a little. But, its really just a letter, as opposed to the SVT Cobra certificate that has signatures and all.
The guy I bought mine from had both framed, so they are here in my computer / nascar room.

Go on that Mystic Cobra website, contact the guy that runs it and see if he can cross reference your serial number to which Mystic number you are. And on another topic. The paint for these has come down some. You could probably get the whole car painted for 3 grand.

Yeah not really sure Mystic is the color to do a black top on, but if you just did the middle off the roof like JB's car it might look okay.

Interesting Photshop pictures either way. Mystic is just outstanding and mesmerizing to look at. earlier today I threw around the idea at home to choose a new paint color for my car if the oppertunity comes my way somehow- Fords new Mustang blue paint called "Deep Impact Blue". I think it would be great looking on a SN95 myself-

Black on Mystic looks terrible. Trust me. I have black wheels on my Mystic (not by choice) and it looks like ass. Black just kills the paint, doesn't pop at all.

the issue with respraying it 96 mystic is the annoyance of getting the paint. but we're also considering 04 mystichrome..

Someone to try to photoshop the bottom half of the car with black and mystic on top. Should look better, although that's something you'd do on a custom car not a factory mystic one.

In any given situation, this is not worth doing to a real mystic car, the paint is actually easier to obtain than most think as long as you can show proof of ownership. Just go through a shop to acquire it if you don't own a shop yourself.

I'd say you're almost obligated to repaint it actual Mystic. Otherwise what's the point, you could paint any other car any color you wanted and people wouldn't think much of it.
