Yea, your's looks really nice from the sig. pic. I can't wait, I just got off the phone with the owner's wife of the Mustang I'm pickin' up and she said he said that I would be stopping by today and that he is just out to lunch and he is going to call me when I get back!! Excellent, so I'm gunna' take my fiancee over to check it out and make sure that she can reach the clutch. Lol, I know that sounds strange, but she is 4'9" and she has a hard time reaching the clutch in some cars. A couple months back we were lookin' at the 06/07 GTO 6 speed but she couldn't reach the clutch in that and we also looked at a new Mustang V6 (don't ask me why, the sales lady wouldn't give up unless we drove it so we did) and thankfully she could barely reach the clutch in that and we also were seriously looking at a new Mustang GT all loaded up with the upgraded rims, interior, sound system and all that.. and she could reach the clutch perfectly in that. This is what pissed me off, though.. the sales lady, who is actually a friend of my family, said that it was all in her head and that she didn't know what she was talking about because both the seats go up to the same point, but actually they don't. After we got home we looked it up online because my fiancee knows she isn't crazy and the V6 Mustang only has 4 point adjustable seats, where as the GT had 6 point adjustable seats which actually do go up further than the V6. But I can't wait to go see my baby this afternoon, hopefully I will be bringing it home this weekend. I can't wait.

:thumb: Damn that is nice. If mine looked like that, I would stick with DFG as well. Hmmm.. I'm doin' some thinkin' now. Maybe I will just have it repainted with the same color thats on there now, just have them strip it off and do a nice new coat of DFG. It does have nice character to it.. and sometimes black bores me. I dunno, I guess we will just have to see how my mood is at them time I send the car to get painted.

Just got back from goin' to look at her.. man it reminds me how much I can't wait to get her home. My fiancee had a hard time reaching the clutch. =\ It actually surprised me because the cockpit is quite compact. I think that the motor in the seat might be going bad because it seemed like once it got to a certain point it was having a hard time going up any further, but it didn't seem like it was up as far as it could go. I don't know. Why can't she just be taller? Lol. Are there any seats that are a little big bulkier of a build that I could swap the front seats out for that would get her closer to the pedals? It looks like the 03/04 Cobra seats are a lot bulkier than the 96 seats and I can't quite remember how they were when I drove the 03 Cobra I test drove a couple years ago.. Can anyone help me out with this and help me come up with a solution that could get her closer to the pedals with seats that are bulkier or would somehow get her up there? I know I could always do a booster or whatever they are that help people who are shorter drive cars that are bigger.. It doesn't really matter if she can drive it or not, but we just got rid of her car because it had to go and she isn't sure what she wants at this particular moment in time so we are looking for something for her, so in the meantime she will be driving the GT to work because I take my work truck until we find something for her. Damn, I hope I don't put too many more miles on the GT.. oh well, maybe that will give me an excuse to drop an 03/04 Cobra engine and trans in there, haha.

Anyway and help with the seats would be much appreciated..

STAY DFG, u will thank every1 later... esp with resale, changing the color isnt the way to go, and at the price, its a steal. if the motor in the seat is going bad, make sure u have it in a comfortable position, mine went bad after my ex drove it and it drove me nuts, i never got it replaced and it was the only reason i hated the car.

The seats are really heavy? I'm not sure what you mean - you mean it's been a while since you deadlifted a seat? Yea, I'm really starting to seriously think about staying with the DFG color and just having a fresh coat put on.

Okay we have settled on an official price.. $2,100.00. What do you all think? I already told him I definately want the car. The motor in the seats seemed as if it was struggling to push the seat up closer to the steering wheel/pedals? But I could be wrong about the seat motor. Anyway, time to go.. off to see my fiancee at work.. I just got back from NYC and I'm beat.. so much activity involving us.. it's always the case when I go there.

P.S. - we gotta' get a cruise goin' on with all you guys this summer.. start in Jersey and head up towards NY or PA and just cruise around... hopefully a lotta' people would be down. Maybe stop off somewhere or before we go we can meet up and just showcase all the cars and bullshit. Have some food and just chill out on a nice summer day and then go cruising. I was a member of the corvetteforum and those guys are always doing massive cruises. Always a nice turnout over on corvetteforums.. usually 200+ members. It was always a blast. Let me know if anyone is interested and maybe we could get that happening..

Yoooo.. look who finally decided to join the party? Lol.. what's up, Joe? Long time no talk/see. One of my customer's owns this car, it's mint man, you gotta' see it. The only "real" thing that needs to be replaced is the back seats. It doesn't need full interior or a top or a respray, but I'm plannin' to do it anyway. I offered him 1500 but he told me the dealership offered him 2140 for it so I said I'd match it at 2100 and we agreed that was the settling price. I'm kinda' gettin' held up because the weather here hasn't been the greatest and Jess was having a hard time reaching the clutch so we gotta' wait for the weather to get nice again so we can go see if she can drive it. I mean it doesn't matter really if she can drive it, but for the time being I'm gunna' let her drive it during the day to and from work because I have my work truck and right now she doesn't have anything to drive. We are lookin' for something for her, but she isn't sure what she wants. I'm tryin' to get her to go for something new, but she is more into the older cars because they are smaller and more form-fitted for her. Plus, it seems now that more and more cars are dropping manual from their transmission options. But I dunno, it's still kinda' up in the air, but unless I come across something I like more, I'm probably just gunna' pick up an SN95 to toy around with for a while. The only forseeable reason I can see as to why I wouldn't get this, is if I come across a C5 that I really like. I had a lock on a C5 a couple months ago that I was negotiating on, but the guy was out of his mind with what he wanted for it. I offered him a fair price for the car, and I was being generous, and he refused to take it so I told him to put the car on the forums because I guarantee it wouldn't sell, so he put it on the forums and I was right, it didn't sell. I'm not sure if he still has it or if he lowered the price and got rid of it, but I am not in contact with him anymore. I really liked the one he had, it was a Texas car.. 99 Black on Black C5 Corvette with an ATI Procharger on it. It made 514rwhp and ran low 11's in the 1/4. It was really clean kept, and I was going to fly down to Texas with Jess and buy it and drive it back to Jersey, but he was too stubborn to take my offer so I passed it up. Anyway, man.. you gotta' give me a call when you get back to Jersey so we can catch up.

Yo.. when did you get an 07? I didn't even know that? That is awesome, I remember in 04 when you were talkin' about pickin' up an 05 because you were caught on the new body-style. That is awesome that you grabbed a new one. How do you like it? Tell me about it.. GT? Stick? I drove both the new V6 stick and GT stick and they are both really nice. The V6 surprisingly had balls.. and the GT wasn't a big difference especially in power over the new V6's.

Yea, my number changed too since we last talked. Me and Jess are doing good.. we are gettin' married.. we might this summer, I'm not sure yet.. we are still figuring out plans and stuff or when we wanna' get hitched, lol.

I told my brother about it. He didn't even think twice and said go for it. You gotta' see Justin's new ride. He got picked up a new R32, it's nasty. He got a condo about 3 months ago and about a month after that picked up a new R32 and he chipped it and threw an intake in it. The only downfall to the new R32 is they don't come in stick, they are tiptronic with a full manual mode, but they are still fun to drive. I've only been in it once since he got it. They come stock with a launch control and the night he picked it up me, jess, him and heather went out to dinner and when we left he gave me a ride back to his place and was showin' me how the launch control works. You come to a dead stop and step on the brake and gas at the same time and it revs it to like 3k and holds it and then you let off the brake and it chirps all 4 about a 1/4 turn and then breaks necks, it's mad fun, lol. We were launchin' it the whole way back to his place haha.

But other than that, not much is going on. I haven't seen anyone in a long time, man. I don't hang out with any of the old guys anymore.. we all just drifted apart, but I keep in touch with Keith and Jimmy and now you, too, lol. I will PM you with my new cell number and gimme' your's so I can put it in and we can catch up when you get back.

It all comes down to what body you like.
I think the 05+ body is ugly and prefer the 94-98 and would rather pick up one of those cheap and make it fast....but thats just me.

The one you are looking at is dirt cheap and with about $1500 in parts will be faster then 99-04's. (PI HCI Swap and exhaust/gears)

Nice man. Yea, I figured you're avatar was the actual picture of your 'Stang. That's awesome that you got one, I'm sure you are enjoying it to the full extent. It's good to hear that you are doing good, as well. Congrats on gettin' the job in Morristown and congrats on graduatin' college, brother. Yea, the V6 that I drove had some balls, dude.. I was surprised. It sounds nice too, even with the factory exhaust and it's really comfortable to drive and ride in. Thanks on the 'grats for gettin' married, but we haven't sealed the deal just yet, lol. We will definitely have to go cruisin' when you get back, once I pick up the 96 (if I do decide to get it). I'm just holdin' off for a while to see if anything else comes along just to make sure that this is the thing for me. It's gunna' be a little toy for a while. I might hold on to it forever and just continue to work it and keep it as my toy, but I dunno.. anything could happen, ya' know.

Yea, Justin is doing good.. everything is actually going pretty well for everyone in my life at this moment, even though the economy is in the tubes, lol.

What, exactly, will you be doin' for the company in Morristown? You are an art major right?

Well.. it's Saturday and it's one of the first nice days in Jersey and the wifey is at work tonight so time for me to get outta' here and go out and do something. I'll catch up with ya' soon man. Take it easy.
