how to remove bezel under the head unit ? there is no screws, but this s**t won't go out

confirmed.
Just to add, if you dont have a small enough flathead to fit into the slots then just work it in the top edge (the plastic of the insert will bend without breaking) I have removed them that way as well in a pinch

As they said it just snaps into place. just gently pry the taps down while pulling out, probably will need to do one side at a time.

Not to take over your thread, but the piece he is referring to, is it still avaliable? I need one and since the local ford dealership closed I am having issues finding one.

been out of production for some time from ford but you can pick up a snap-in din-pocket at almost any car audio retailer for $12-20

while the pocket is only good for things you later want to retreive from the back seat why not put some gauges or some switches or something usefull in there? I actual put the alarm led, amp monitoring leds and a voltgauge and a current gauge for my stereo in there. I took the face off of the stock cassette player and put felt on the back of it so that it covers the spot when I do not want it to be seen. Hell combine the pocket and the face and you could make a neat hiding spot, or at the least a cover to keep the items in the pocket...

Good point I guess. I was just hoping the factory ford piece was a deaper and better quality. I may have to break out the fiberglass this weekend and see what I can come up with, will probably try to fab a nice pocket/door for that area.
The pocket on the samurai I got rid off was great for cigs and cell phone, even when climbing shit, and I really miss it, but then again that was 60hp.... tops.
Don't know about aftermarket but the OEM one has the rubber mat on the bottom, what stuff have you been putting in there that flies out so easily?
My Sirius dock covers most of the pocket on my car but it does work fine to hide the wires from that and since the convertible doesnt have a lot of room for anything I put my garage door opener into the top edge of the pocket, keeps it out if sight but still easy to access
