I dont understand the ported heads. So you can port the stock heads or buy PI ones off a 99+ stang? Does that make the heads the same? If you get pi heads do you need different pi cams to go with? how much does it cost to port the old heads? thats alot of questions i know but any input would be great because i dont know what else i can do to my car expect a new supercharger setup

This is a big debate
Ok, first off if you get PI heads you can keep the stock PI cams and be fine.
If you want to go S/C some people, including myself, will say to keep stock NPI heads and port them or just stock NPI heads. One of those two options with either a stock PI cam *cheapest route* or an aftermarket NPI cam will work too.
If you want to stay NA then go with a PI swap. If you are stuck on doing a PI swap and wanna go FI later, get low compression pistons when you do FI
Ported NPI heads flow the same or better than PI heads so, it's your choice.

Look at costs in your area, you might be able to find a set of reman'd PI heads cheaper than having your NPIs worked over, sometimes the other way around. As for compression ratios, personally I wouldn't sweet the differance. If you add a blower, you'll need a tune no matter what, and you can get the same gains from lower boost + high compression as high boost + low compression, just make sure your tuner has half a brain. Running boost is just raising your CR anyway, so its six to one, half a dozen to the other. Cost is the great divider.

yes i know thats why i would really like to get some more power out of it its a small blower, its still really fun to drive with the 4.10s but out on the Highway my friends 06 GT with full bolt ons blows right past me it makes me so mad, he is such a little rich boy with that 30k car that his dad bought him i would love to be able to beat him i might just hook up the 120hp nitrous shot the seller of the car gave me with the car that would do the trick :thumb:

Your best bet, would be to get some Crower offset retainer's, good valve springs, and custom grinds.

Have a good company like Modular Powerhouse or Livernois spec you a set of cams specifically for that SVO blower. Off the shelf stuff won't bring it to it's full potential.

If you use Crower's offset retainer's you can run more lift, and see at least a solid 40 rwhp gain.

Worry about head porting and whatnot when you are ready to go with a built motor.
