Battery relocated to the trunk helps a bunch! Opens up a little bit of working room under the hood too.....but you already know that.
Bingo. One thing I've been experimenting with is using a crown Vic expansion tank where the battery normally sits, to allow a less restrictive path out the hood vent.

I’m interested to see the quality of those heads. Most pushrod enthusiasts would probably steer you towards the iron Vic jr heads due to known good quality at its price point. A decent, cheap aluminum head would be nice.

Where from? Kenny Bell said they had none for 4.6 2V. Is that Saleen specific?
Ordered from Saleen. I had called them and they said the 4-8 week time frame has been on par so far this year. KB are supposedly moving/moved to a new building. Per the Saleen rep.
And it is "Saleen" spec, but it just sounds like it comes with more add ons. I was surprised how many parts they have added to their SN95/New Edge section.

The nickel and diming has gone into full swing. Had to order a power steering hose, headlight retainer clips, serpentine belt, fuel filter, exhaust hangers and ball & socket hardware.

That sucks. IMO the nickel & diming began just before that when you spent $6,600 with them and then they charged you $280 for shipping. I guess they don’t feel they have to get on board with every place else, “free shipping over $XXX”? Pity and shame on them.

That car (01 Bullitt) technically hasn't started it's nickel and dime affair. The 01 V6-V8 swap is full swinging. I even tried to ask if I could pick up in person since they are in California and I could call it a mini vacation. NO dice.

I have a good feeling about them. I have covered a LOT of videos and internet chatter about various heads covering all the usual sources. AFR, Trick Flow, Edelbrock, SVE and other China sources. AFR has a 165 head that is on price point with SVE, but the others' price point doesn't line up. While I'm pretty sure the SVE heads are a Chinese casting, They seem to be of good quality. There are some youtube channels that have shown SVE 170 and 185 installs, and all were positive. I didn't come across a single channel with something that was actually negative. For what I'm looking for... a relatively "normal" NA build... these are reportedly a great bang for buck option. BREW2L recommended them several times as well. They've also sold out on me three times before I could save the money up. So that says something as well.

While I won't get this done over a weekend, I'll update my build post with all the details.

I’m looking forward to an update. I’d like to buy a heads, cam and intake for my 87 grand Marquis one day. I was thinking pro comp since it’s pretty much an Edelbrock knock off but my options are open.
