3 inch tips on my car.... and I know everything is crooked, the tips aren't bolted on and I need springs mofo. :

3" tips are perfect. I think it would be hard to adjust 3.5" tips to look good. My 3" ones took me a couple of hours to get just the way I like it. Although I am a little anal about it.
