aluminum rack bushings from MM. if you are lowered more than 1.0", i personally (key word) suggest a bump-steer kit, in case you decide to pursue corner-carving in the future.

Thanks I'm mainly looking to just get the leak fixed, and Ive tried temp fixes (none work) Ive tried tinkering with the rack it self and nothing seems to do it, so just decided to replace.

thats probably the best way to go. go to your local ford dealer and get new vynal hose seals. they are like, $.35 each.... just replace those while you are there, too.

also, i know 96-98 mustang GTs call for ATF in the system, not power steering fluid. you should check that out as well.

I just did reserch after reading this, and my car does require ATF, and I have been putting power steering fluid in it, do you think this is the reason for the leaking? do you know what I should do.

nah, probably not the reason why. im guessing ATV is simply a "heartier" fluid. (if i had to guess)

anyways, you'll drain the system when you replace the rack, so just re-fill it with ATF that meets the requirements. Be sure to spin the PS pump by hand when the rack is off to drain the fluid out of it.
